Trigeminal Neuralgia Treatment

Trigeminal neuralgia usually occurs spontaneously, but is sometimes associated with facial trauma or dental procedures. The condition may be caused by a blood vessel pressing against the trigeminal nerve, also known as vascular compression.

Brain Tumor

A brain tumor can form in the brain cells (as shown), or it can begin elsewhere and spread to the brain. As the tumor grows, it creates pressure on and changes the function of surrounding brain tissue, which causes signs and symptoms such as headaches, nausea and balance problems.

Lumbar Surgery

Lumbar decompression surgery is a type of surgery used to treat compressed nerves in the lower (lumbar) spine. It's only recommended when non-surgical treatments haven't helped. The surgery aims to improve symptoms such as persistent pain and numbness in the legs.

Brain Surgery

Brain surgery is a major medical event. It carries extra risk. Possible risks associated with brain surgery include: allergic reaction to anesthesia. Surgery on the brain or spinal cord is a serious operation, and surgeons are very careful to try to limit any problems either during or after surgery.

Epilepsy Surgery

Epilepsy surgery is a procedure that removes an area of the brain where seizures occur. Epilepsy surgery is most effective when seizures always occur in a single location in the brain. The neurosurgeon will take out a small part of the skull (called a craniotomy) to expose the brain.

Paralysis

Paralysis is the loss of the ability to move some or all of your body. It can have lots of different causes, some of which can be serious. Depending on the cause, it may be temporary or permanent. Most paralysis is due to strokes or injuries such as spinal cord injury or a broken neck.

Brain Injury

Traumatic brain injury usually results from a violent blow or jolt to the head or body. An object that goes through brain tissue, such as a bullet or shattered piece of skull, also can cause traumatic brain injury. Mild traumatic brain injury may affect your brain cells temporarily.

Brain Trauma

Traumatic brain injuries at the base of the skull can cause nerve damage to the nerves that emerge directly from the brain (cranial nerves). Cranial nerve damage may result in: Paralysis of facial muscles or losing sensation in the face. Loss of or altered sense of smell or taste.

CV Junction Disorder

Craniocervical junction disorders are abnormalities of the bones at the base of the skull and top of the spine. They can cause headaches, pain and cervical instability. These types of disorders can happen at birth or develop after an injury.

Neck & Lower Back Pain

The exact cause of back and neck pain is difficult to determine. In most cases, back and neck pain may have many different causes, including any of the following: Overuse, strenuous activity, or improper use, such as repetitive or heavy lifting. Trauma, injury, or fractures.

Percutaneous Balloon Compression For Trigeminal Neuralgia

Percutaneous balloon compression is a simple and effective treatment for trigeminal neuralgia. It is especially useful in patients with first-division pain because it does not injure the myelinated fibers that mediate the blink reflex.

Spinal Tumor

A spinal tumor is an abnormal mass of tissue within or surrounding the spinal cord and/or spinal column. These cells grow and multiply uncontrollably, seemingly unchecked by the mechanisms that control normal cells. Spinal tumors can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous).
